I grew up in Fontana and I remember going with my family and picking mushrooms in the grapevines adjacent to the track and walking over to the fence and watching real race cars! I was probably 6 or 7 years old and OMS was not built yet.

It was also located near the Sierra overpass which wasn't widened until 2001. There also wasn't the abundance of homes in the south end as there is now. The old Mervyns is now a 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport and the old Ikea is home to the medical offices of Kaiser. That "ghetto" area is quite fine now.

The community was most likely there first. If you check Bing.com's "bird's eye view," you'll notice that there are photos of the community north of it, but the area where the distribution center is at now was just an empty piece of land. Those bird's eye view photos are dated from 2006 or 2008, I believe, when LA county was previously imaged.
I'd be curious to see if anyone knows when this center was built.

"The difficulty was in delivering the amount of structuring the client desired," says Levine, who notes that the borrower is a repeat client of CRE and was able to obtain 10 year fixed-rate financing. The interest rate was in the 5% range, with a 30-year amortization schedule. Levine calls the transaction very competitive in terms of offering flexibility within a fixed rate structure.
The Inland Empire Center was built in 1991 and was 100% occupied at the time of the closing of the loan, which is one of a number of transactions that CRE has closed in the Inland Empire and other parts of Southern California. Tenants include a Cardenas Market that replaced a Vons Market three years ago, La Canasta Furnishings (a Petco subtenant), Pep Boys, Famsa (a Kids R Us subtenant), Big 5 Sporting Goods, 24 Hour Fitness and UltraStar Cinemas.
